Twelfth Night
By William Shakespeare
About
Set sail on a whimsical voyage with our Sea-faring musical adaptation of Shakespeare's Twelfth Night! Join shipwrecked Viola, who disguises herself as the charming Cesario, as she navigates mistaken identities. All this because she is on the search for her spirited twin brother, Sebastian, who is also on the island and looking for Olivia. Encounter the lovestruck Duke Orsino, yearning for the beautiful Olivia, who is guarded by the witty and sharp-tongued steward, Malvolio. A cast of sailors and quirky islanders, including the mischievous Sir Toby Belch, the witty Maria, and the clownish antics of Feste. The show will be full of spirited sea shanties and heart aching dirges that express the uncharted waters of love and identity. Experience the hilarity of tangled affections and the spirit of adventure. Set your sails for an unforgettable night of laughter and music!
This is an excellent opportunity to learn how to perform the poetry of Shakespeare. Students will get the opportunity to play larger than life characters and take part in finding how to make Shakespeare relevant and fun for audiences. No Shakespeare or acting experience necessary.
